Add your locations
Tell Carepatron where you work: physical addresses, telehealth rooms, Zoom, Google Meet, Doxy.me, or phone. Locations show on appointments, online booking, and confirmation emails.
- The room or meeting link, if you use Zoom, Google Meet, Doxy.me or Microsoft Teams (Carepatron's own video calls need no link)
- The client's home address saved on their profile, if you do home visits
Why locations come before services
Every service in Carepatron has to be available at one or more locations. Set up services first and you'll have to come back and assign locations anyway.
Doing locations first means you won't have to come back to them.
Add a physical location
- Go to Settings → Scheduling → Locations → + New location.
- Choose Physical location as the Location type.
- Enter a display name clients will recognise, like 'Brunswick Practice'.
- Add the street address.
- In the US and Canada you'll also see Place of service. If you bill insurance, pick the code that matches, for example 11 for an office. Claims use it to tell the payer where the session happened.
Physical locations carry an address clients can use when finding the appointment.
Add a virtual location
Carepatron's own video calls are built in. Every workspace already has a Carepatron video location at the top of the Locations list, so there's nothing to add and no link to paste.
For another platform, click + New location and choose the matching Location type:
- Zoom: paste your Personal Room invite link from zoom.us → Meetings → Personal Room.
- Google Meet: create a meeting for later at meet.google.com and copy the link.
- Doxy.me and Microsoft Teams: paste the host's room or meeting link.
- Telehealth video call for any other video platform: paste its link.
- Phone call for call-based sessions.
If you connect your Zoom account under Settings → My Profile → Connected apps (Lesson 5.3), Zoom also appears as a booking option and Carepatron creates a meeting for each appointment, with no link to paste.
Client addresses for home visits
For home visits, you can use a client's saved home address as the appointment location. Save the address on their profile first. When you book, add the client, then in the location field choose Use client location and pick the address.
Useful if you're a mobile practitioner or run home assessments.
Tick these off in your own workspace before moving on.

One physical location for the clinic, plus client home addresses for home visits.
Carepatron video for clinical sessions, plus Google Meet for non-clinical admin calls.
What location types can I add?
Physical location, Phone call, Telehealth video call, Google Meet, Zoom, Doxy.me and Microsoft Teams. Carepatron's own video location is already in your list.
Do I need a physical address if I'm 100% virtual?
No, skip the physical type entirely and use virtual locations only. Telehealth-only practices don't need an address on file.
Do I need to set up a location for Carepatron video calls?
No. Every workspace already has a Carepatron video location, so there's no link to paste.
How do I connect Zoom?
Copy your Personal Room Invite Link from zoom.us → Meetings → Personal Room, then paste it into the Zoom location's link field. Or connect your Zoom account under Settings → My Profile → Connected apps, and Carepatron creates a meeting for each appointment instead.
Can clients see their home address as the appointment location?
Yes. Save the address on the client's profile, add the client to the appointment, then choose Use client location in the location field and pick the address. Useful for mobile or home-visit practitioners.
Can I have multiple physical sites for a group practice?
Yes, add one location per site. You can also set which team members work where in their availability settings (Lesson 1.5).
Can team members have different default locations?
Locations are shared across the workspace. Each person's availability schedule sets where each time slot is (All locations, one location, or Video call), under Your team → person → Services & availability, or their own Settings → My Profile → Services and availability.
